Sustainability & Our pledge to the Planet
The base of our trademarked fabric Vylet®️ uses a fiber called Tencel.
Tencel is a fabric made from sustainable wood sources including eucalyptus and bamboo wood pulp.
What are the benefits of Tencel?
Tencel is soft and holds colour well, while its breathability makes it ideal for use in humid climates, it also helps wick moisture from the skin and aids temperature regulation.
While Tencel is currently more expensive to produce than cotton, it’s production consumes 60% less water and also has antibacterial properties which makes it 10 times more resistant to bacterial growth than cotton.
The best part is that its fibres can “fully revert back to nature” as they are compostable and biodegradable.
In essence, these fibres are made using more environmentally responsible processes while also delivering comfort and durability.
