WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CARE FOR THIS FABRIC?

How to ensure the Vylet® filter system keeps working for you at her full potential: 

  • Hand Wash Cold Or At 30℃ 
  • Wash With Like Colors Only 
  • Do Not Bleach
  • Do Not Tumble Dry
  • Do Not Use Fabric Softener 
  • Do Not Dry Clean
  • Iron with Steam
  • Hang or Flat Dry
  • Use of harsh detergents, fabric softener or tumble dryer will destroy the fabrics functionality

*The use of a tablespoon of Citric Acid for Laundry or White Distilled Vinegar in the "fabric softener" compartment of your washer is highly recommended as it dissolves lime and calcium build up from hard water.

HOW LONG BEFORE I SEE RESULTS?

The body needs daily exposure of sunlight over the course of the summer months to produce enough Vitamin D to last a whole year.

This fabric works with the biology of your own body. Vylet® when used as indicated, will take 3 to 4 months to show improvements in Vitamins D levels.

I HAVE DARKER SKIN, DOES THIS CHANGE HOW I NEED TO USE THIS FABRIC?

Those with higher levels of melanin in their skin will need more exposure to sunlight to see the same results compared to those with lighter skin. This is because melanin is a natural block to UV rays. Therefore more time is needed under the sun to allow the necessary levels of UVB to penetrate the skin and enter into the body to be converted to Vitamin D.

DO I NEED TO USE SUNSCREEN UNDERNEATH VYLET®️ CLOTHING?

If you apply sunscreen underneath Vylet® clothing, you will not get any benefits from its abilities. For the Portofino Collection, it is very unlikely that you will tan as it only allows micro doses of UVB to pass through, throughout the day.

I HAVE SENSITIVITY TO THE SUN, IS THIS FABRIC SAFE FOR ME?

If you have any pre-existing medical conditions that relate to sun exposure, please consult your doctor before using this fabric.

WHO IS THIS FABRIC NOT A GOOD FIT FOR?

  • Anyone who has a genetic or medical condition that prohibits Vitamin D production. 
  • Anyone looking for a “quick fix”. This fabric contains no medicine and does not work overnight.
  • Anyone that dislikes the sun and is opposed to small daily doses of sun exposure.

WHO IS THIS FABRIC IDEAL FOR?

Anyone who is looking to both protect their skin from sundamage, but also for a natural way to boost their Vitamin D levels.

IS VYLET®️ IN THE COLOUR ECRU/ WHITE, SEE THROUGH?

No, our ecru/ white and light coloured fabrics are not see through. The models you see in the images are all wearing skin coloured underwear. We recommend that for any white or light coloured clothing, choose underwear that matches your skin colour for an elegant and modest result.

DO’s & DON'TS WHEN USING VYLET®️

DO:

  • Follow the wash instructions to keep the filter working at its full potential.
  • Get daily sun exposure during summer months around 09:00am to 11:00am, or anytime after 3:00pm.
  • For SFP 20 smart fabric: Do wear it all day with no need for creams, or other sun protection under the clothing.
  • You may use a natural fabric softener such as vinegar or citric acid solutions made for laundry.

DON’T:

  • Disregard the wash instructions. Once the filter is damaged, there is no way to repair it.
  • Spend most of your time in shade or avoid the sun and expect this fabric to work. No sun exposure, will mean no Vitamin D production.
  • For SFP 10 smart fabric: Do not exceed 2 hours of sun exposure even while wearing this fabric.
  • If you have any pre-existing medical conditions that relate to sun exposure, do not use this fabric before consulting your doctor first.

HOW DO I MAKE AN ORDER?

  • Browse on the Fi Milano website and find the item (s) if your choice.
  • Click on the Fi Milano product to view more details and choose your colour and sizing options.
  • Add to your cart, this will show up in the right hand corner of the website.
  • When you're ready to process your order click 'checkout' from within your cart.
  • Inside checkout you can leave courier special instructions (such as leave at backdoor, beware of the dog etc.) You can also change the quantity of the product you are buying if needed.
  • Next click 'CHECKOUT' to be taken to the payment page. Make sure you tick that you agree with the Terms and Conditions.
  • Enter your personal details, such as email, delivery address and then continue to our shipping options page.
  • Choose a Shipping option and here you can enter any discount codes or gift cards you may have.
  • Finally Choose a payment option such as Credit Card (visa and mastercard) and then push "Complete Order" or "Pay Now."
  • After your payment is successful, you will be notified via e-mail with an attached pdf receipt.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ORDER? IS IT SAFE?

WHEN DO YOU RELEASE NEW COLLECTIONS?

Collections are usually released 2 or 3 times a year unless there is a special project that is being worked on. To take part in the designing of these collections, be sure to follow us on social media where we give you the opportunity to have your say in the upcoming designs.

CAN I REQUEST A NEW COLOUR OR DESIGN?

At the moment we are not accepting made to measure requests but feel free to send us an e-mail and we are always happy to take suggestions for future releases.

SHIPPING & CUSTOMS

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP OUT?

We always do our best to process and ship your products as fast as possible, and you will be notified by e-mail as soon as your order has left our warehouse. For all orders placed, shipping will occur within 2 business days. If the order is placed over a weekend or on a holiday, we'll start processing your order on the following business day. Similarly, during holidays, shipping times may be slightly extended. Please note that Fi Milano is not responsible for unanticipated shipping delays incurred by the courier, by customs clearance, or unforeseen circumstances. (Such as weather events, pandemics etc.)

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?

All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Italy. Shipping times vary according to the delivery location, the courier selected, and the method of shipment selected (regular or express). For any orders that require customs clearance, additional time may be added to the expected delivery date. For more detailed information, please refer to the link provided in your confirmation email to monitor your shipment. Please note that Fi Milano is not responsible for unanticipated shipping delays incurred by the courier, by customs clearance, or unforeseen circumstances. (Such as weather events, pandemics etc.)

HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

A tracking number is included in your shipping confirmation e-mail. If you didn't receive one, please contact our customer service team.

HOW MUCH DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING?

Shipping is free on all orders over €300. All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Italy. Shipping costs vary depending on the shipping service selected at checkout and the delivery address and will be calculated at checkout. For more info please see our Shipping page.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR ANY ADDITIONAL DUTY CHARGES?

All orders within the EU are free of duty charges.

FOR UK CUSTOMERS:

From January 1st 2021, following Brexit, for orders shipped to the UK:

  • All orders over £135 will be subject to duty.
  • Orders from outside the European Union may incur in duty charges according to local custom regulations.
  • Please note that shipping charges do not include custom taxes or duties: these costs are the responsibility of the customer. If you have refused to accept your order upon delivery, any duties, customs and taxes levied charged by the country your order was shipped to will be deducted from your refund, when the order is returned to us. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

We ship almost everywhere around the globe. If you did not see your country listed in the dropdown menu, then the courier we are using is not currently able to offer shipping to that country. Please note that orders from outside the European Union you may incur additional duty charges. These charges will be different and based on your country’s customs regulations.

WHAT DO I DO IF I RECEIVE AN ITEM THAT IS DAMAGED?

If your package is visibly damaged on delivery, please notify the person delivering your goods that they have been received damaged and contact us on this website or via e-mail at info@fimilamo.com, within 48 hours of receiving your order.

We hope everyone loves our products as much as we do, but if for any reason you do need to return something, we’ve tried to make it as simple as possible. We are a small business and are doing our best to provide the best service possible. However, we do have some limitations so please read carefully before placing your order, especially if you are ordering from outside the European Union. HOW DO I MAKE A RETURN FROM WITHIN THE EU?

  • Item must be returned within 14 days of arrival
  • Item must be re-packed and sent back in its original condition and original Fi Milano box packaging.
  • Please note that a restocking fee of €15 will be deducted from the refund.
  • The cost of the return shipping fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • When a return has been received and accepted you will be notified via e-mail once we have processed the refund in our system and your money (minus any possible specifics mentioned above) will be returned onto the same payment process you paid with. Eg. Returned to your Visa or Mastercard.
  • Returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted and will not be refunded.

HOW CAN I MAKE SURE MY ITEMS WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND?

  • Item(s) don't show signs of wear or use
  • The tags have not been removed
  • There is no make-up, deodorant or any other stains on the item(s)
  • If the item(s) do not show any signs of being tampered with
  • The gift box must be included in the return
  • The gift box must be inside of another box for the return shipping (and is not damaged)
  • Returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted and will not be refunded.
